Michael Grassman is a Village resident who shares his love of music with Greendale and the surrounding communities in a variety of ways. He is a multi-instrumentalist, performer, session musician, instructor, sound/lighting engineer and also an event DJ.

As the owner of Sound Check Entertainment & Studios, Michael provides the essential tech and production needs for bands, theaters and schools throughout the greater Milwaukee area and provides DJ services for a variety of different events. He nurtures the gift of music in others as a full time private instructor for drums & percussion, guitar and ukulele.

Hello, my name is Michael James Grassman. I am a full-time musician, educator and small business owner. My family and I have lived in Greendale for about a year and half and loving the “small town” feel while being close to the city. I own Sound Check Entertainment & Studios located in West Allis since 2013. There I have a physical location for music education and my home base for the live event productions that I do. During the pandemic I converted my home rec room into a music education room and since then have been offering guitar, drum and chess lessons to Greendale families both virtually and in-person.
