Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: I have always had a passion to help and serve others. Working at MATC allows me to work with others who need the help the most that may be seeking a new career, upgrading their skills, seeking to go onto a four year or gainful employment.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Greendale and what do you love there?
A: I have two favorite restaurants. One is Panther Pub. Their fish fries are phenomenal and it’s like going into Cheers. It’s your family. If you want the best steaks in Greendale and the best steaks this side of the Mississippi, it’s Joey Gerard’s.
Q: How long have you lived in Greendale?
A: We lived in Greendale for about 19 years. We raised our 2 kids here who both went to Greendale Schools.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Greendale?
A: There’s quite a few interesting folks but the most interesting person I’ve met here is Karyn Birmingham who is a walking billboard of Greendale. We lovingly call her “Ms. Greendale”.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: I would travel to Italy. I’ve been there once before but neither of my kids have been there. My wife and I are both Italian. My wife is all Sicilian and I am half Italian, half Sicilian. To just go and bring the kids is definitely on the list right now.
Q: What is your favorite movie OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in a theatre?
A: I don’t think that I have a favorite movie but my favorite musical of all time is The Music Man.

A: Carpe Diem, seize the day, live for the moment. You don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.
Q: What is your favorite music/ 3 bands you would like to see (dead or alive)?
A: The Rat Pack, Elvis Presley and Chicago
Q: What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Greendale?
A: That’s easy. It’s Ferch’s. It’s hard not to walk into Ferch’s and feel like you’ve been transported back into the 1950’s.
Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative with whom would you love to have lunch?
A: I would like to have lunch with the Pope. It would be the most non-political conversation that I would have with anybody. I would take the Pope to Joey Gerard’s and if it is Friday, we would go to Panther Pub.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Greendale?
A: The people and the quality of life that is available for the residents of Greendale. There’s something great about the events that happen here and the way that walking trails are maintained. If you want to be around a lot of people, you can. If you just want to go take a quiet walk, you don’t have to go 80 miles for a country ride. You can do that on the walking trails. There is a balance of trying to be an urban center but also a small little country town.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?
A: Happily retired on a beach wearing my flip flops.
