Tom & Shannon Combs

Shannon and Tom moved to Greendale in 2007 with their young sons – Cody and Tanner – who were 2 years old and 2 months old at the time. They chose Greendale because of the highly-rated school system and the availability of an early childhood program for Cody who had delayed speech. They very quickly fell in love with the small-town atmosphere and continue to be thankful for the excellent education that the district is providing for their children.

Shannon and Tom started down their real estate career path in the early 2000’s when Shannon decided to start dabbling in real estate investing. They bought their first rental property in 2002. Shannon’s plan was to switch to real estate full time to add flexibility to her schedule as they started a family. She obtained her real estate license in 2003 and began to transition out of her other job. Tom was equally excited about real estate and obtained his license in 2004. Their initial focus was on owning rental properties, but they soon found that their real passion is helping other people to buy and sell homes. By early 2005, they were both full time Realtors.

Prior to real estate, Shannon worked for Hydrite Chemical Co for over 10 years. She held various positions in chemical quality control, quality assurance and product information management. She also taught group exercise classes at Bally Total Fitness for over 10 years. Shannon holds a BS in Chemistry from UW Stevens Point and an MS in Organizational Leadership & Quality from Marian College. Details, structure and communication are top priorities for Shannon. She enjoys managing the team as well as helping clients to sell and buy homes. In her free time, Shannon enjoys group exercise classes, reading and spending time with family.

Tom also had a different career before jumping into real estate full time. Tom was a Recreation Therapist at Rogers Memorial Hospital. He holds a BS in Recreation Administration with an emphasis on Therapy from Southwest Texas State University. Prior to earning his degree, Tom served in the Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. Tom has a great sense of humor and a way of putting fun into your day. The Combs team wouldn’t be where it is today without Tom’s networking and people skills. Tom is the lead listing agent on the team, but also works with some buyers. When Tom isn’t selling real estate, he enjoys hiking, biking, playing cards, cooking and relaxing with Shannon and the kids.

Shannon and Tom feel very fortunate to have gathered a truly amazing team of professionals to assist them in providing outstanding service to their clients:

Jennifer Braun is the Marketing Specialist for the Combs Team. She has a solid background in real estate marketing and social media platforms. Jennifer is a true asset to the behind the scenes functions and to the team’s seller clients.

Mac Cyr previously worked in the residential construction industry for over 15 years. That experience provided him with a keen eye for quality and the ability to assess possible encumbrances, which he uses to guide his clients to the best investment to call home. He is well-traveled and fluent in Spanish, both spoken and written (in multiple dialects). He is passionate about building relationships and understands what is at the heart of his clients’ goals while delivering impeccable service with integrity.

Emily Human understands the importance of finding not just a house, but a home. With a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing, Emily uses her listening and communication skills to meet all your needs. She will not only help you feel comfortable and heard but will also work diligently with you throughout the entire process. With experience in high levels of customer service, Emily builds strong relationships and looks forward to being a lifelong resource for her clients.
