Guy W Ouellette is a long time resident of Greendale who has been sharing his time and talents with the Village for many years. You may recognize Guy from the GEA Resale, Village Days, or other Greendale events where he has volunteered. Guy was also very involved with Twi-Nite baseball for several years coaching and mentoring children in the community.

I grew up in Greenfield and West Allis. I attended West Allis Central High School and went to college at MATC, UW Milwaukee and MSOE. I live in Greendale.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have been truly blessed with a wonderful family. I have been married to Donna Ouellette for 22 years and I have two stepchildren Chris and Brandon and also our son Jordan and I have 2 wonderful Grandchildren – Zoey and Silas. I also have a Teddy Bear dog named “Stuart Little”.
Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have worked for Nelson Sales & Engineering Corp for 16 years, which was recently acquired by Kenrich Industrial as of January, 2022. I have worked with Automation Tooling and love everyday problem solving.
Q: Please tell us about any volunteering that you have done or currently do.
I have been a member of Greendale Entertainment Association for the past 21 years and during that time I have been Director of the Family Entertainment Area for 12 years. After that I developed the Food Court on Parking Street and I am still currently in that position – as the Food Coordinator for our food court during Greendale Village Days and wherever else I am needed. I also help out during the GEA Fall/Spring Resale. I coached Greendale Twi-Nite baseball for 12 years. A tribute to the late Doug Novak who convinced me to coach a lot of great kids. I was on the Committee that organized the ice rink in front of the Middle school which lasted 6 years. I was involved for 4 years with the Greendale High School Booster Club as a Booster Rep for Ice Force Hockey. I volunteer for every event that Public Celebrations puts on in the Village.
Q: Please tell us about any interesting or unique hobbies that you have?
I have a love for woodworking and building outdoor projects.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in Greendale? What do you love there?
Ricardo’s and Panther Pub. I love Ricardo’s menu and I say yes to all of their food, especially their fabulous pizza. I also love the ambiance at Ricardo’s. I love Panther Pub’s food and enjoy eating it on the patio and watching sports on TV with family and friends.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in Greendale?
22 years
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Greendale?
Mr. Robert Birmingham. He fought in WWII and lived in Greendale for many years. I love listening to him talk about his life and history of Greendale. I have the utmost respect for him.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Hawaii. I would love to see the Arizona Memorial and the beautiful Islands.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
2008 Iron Man Movie. I keep telling my wife I want the real suit that flies. No luck!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
To be humble and treat everybody equally.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To travel with my wife when I retire.
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Greendale?
Ferch’s Malt Shoppe and the Village as a whole with its incredible history.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would you meet for this lunch?
Morgan Freeman. He grew up poor and challenged diversity, was in the Air Force, college graduate, Academy Award actor, documentaries, wrote a cookbook, etc. I would meet him for lunch at The English Inn in Door County.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Greendale?
I love all of the events in Greendale and meeting and talking to new people there.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Semi-retired, traveling, grandparenting and woodworking.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’m an identical triplet. I keep telling my triplet brothers that I’m the better looking one and they keep saying they are. A lifetime joke between us.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
That is a tough one – I love Alaska, British Columbia, Canada and Door County.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Favorite month is October; Favorite holiday is the 4th of July; and favorite day is Christmas Day because every year we take our family to the Kalahari and celebrate together.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Those who volunteer in our community to make a better place for all to enjoy.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My wife Donna
Q: What are one or two of your favorite smells?
The smell of coffee brewing in the morning and barbeque grilling.
