Madison, please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path?

I want to become an elementary school teacher and continue my music path with a minor in music. I’ve always loved working/living with children but I also wanted to keep my talent for music alive with my future job.

 

Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I am the oldest of 7 siblings: 4 little brothers and 3 little sisters.

 

What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in Greendale?

Chik-fil-A, Panera, and Noodles.

 

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

I would go to New York so I can finally see all the cool tourist places while also being able to see a live musical!

 

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

The Fosters, Glee, Pitch Perfect, Switched at Birth, Titanic

 

What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?

Mr. Jones was always the teacher to help me get over my stage fright. He would push me to get out of my comfort zone and always be there when I needed him to talk. There was not just one good piece of advice he had given me, he did so much more.

 

What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

Voila

 

If you could choose anyone that is alive today, and not a relative: with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where in Greendale would you meet for lunch?

If I could pick anyone to have lunch with, I would probably pick Adele. I would pick Adele because she is my favorite artist and inspires me to keep singing and strive for my dream. We would go to Chick-fil-A because it is my favorite place to go.

 

What is your favorite thing or something unique about our Greendale?

My favorite thing about Greendale is how welcoming all the people and places are, everyone is always so friendly, they make you feel like this is your home.

 

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

I hope to be done with college and have my Master’s in education with my minor in music. I would like to be teaching by then and have my own classroom. I would also like to own my own home by then.

 

What show are you binge watching right now?

Glee

 

Favorite month? Holiday? And best single day on the calendar?

My favorite month is October because it is the month of falling, colorful leaves, pumpkin picking, and haunted houses. My favorite holiday would have to be Halloween as well because we always have a fun Halloween party and eat fun foods. The best single day on the calendar is probably my birthday because I grow older and get to do new things with each age.

My grandma

 

If you could go back over your entire school career what is the one thing you would do different?

I would have more fun and not focus so much on school, maybe by going to more sports games and/or musicals.

 

Who or what do you miss the most right now?

I most definitely miss my church choir and all my choir friends at school. I also really miss my choir teacher. I miss being able to sing and share music with all of them. Likewise, I miss my 4K friends I intern for, they were all such sweet and humorous kids!

 

What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?

I want to make it a self-day, go shopping at the malls, go to the nail salon, get my hair done, and sit down at my favorite breakfast place.
