My name is Jenny Schwingle and I am the owner of Auntie Jennie’s Barkery. I am a graduate of Mukwonago High School and am married to Todd Schwingle. Todd and I actually met in 2nd grade but never had a conversation until we had graduated from high school. We were married in October of 2004. We have 2 amazing children, Brady who is 16 and Carter who is 14. Both boys are very active in sports which keeps us always on the move. We also have 2 dogs, Bentley (10) and Loki (4).

Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am the owner and baker of the dog treats at Auntie Jennie’s Barkery. I started this business in 2013 after making the treats for my brother’s dogs as Christmas presents. At first, I sold my treats at craft fairs and on Facebook. Then, in August of 2013, we moved from Mukwonago to Franklin. I talked to my husband about trying to sell my treats to businesses and making this into a bigger business. And that is what I did. I had to move the business out of the house in 2019 because it had grown so much and a spot opened up in Downtown Greendale. I opened in May of 2019 and have over 10 stores that carry my treats. I love that I get to bake, which I love to do and I get to be surrounded with awesome dogs all day!!

Q: Please tell us about any volunteering that you have done or currently do.
Every month, I host a small rescue on the last Saturday. I collect physical and monetary donations all month long and then the rescue brings in their adoptables for the community to meet. Also, once a year, The Eric Look Band and I host a fundraiser for local K9 units.
