Nathan, please tell us about your current plans after high school. What inspired you to choose this path?

After high school I plan on attending Concordia University Wisconsin and major in elementary education. What inspired me so much to go down this path is because for the past 5 years I have worked as a co teacher for K-8 summer school.

 

Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I am the oldest of 3. My younger brother is graduating 8th grade this year at Greendale Middle School, and my little sister is going into 2nd grade next year at College Park.

 

What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in Greendale?

Panther Pub, Joey Gerard’s, and Ricardo´s

 

Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Greendale?

The most interesting person I have met in Greendale is Jackie Schweitzer. I have worked with her teaching park and rec technology classes, teaching park and rec tennis, serving on the park and rec board, and many more activities. Jackie is a highly involved member of the community that I look up to and respect. Her commitment to Greendale is something I highly admire.

 

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would travel to Poland, because my grandmother grew up there and she has family there that I have never met.

 

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

I am a big fan of Disney movies. My favorite TV shows are The Rookie, and Station 19.

 

What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?

The best advice I have received from a teacher was from Kim Amann, “No need to worry, if you did the best that you can.”

 

What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

I like listening to Coldplay.

 

If you could choose anyone that is alive today, and not a relative: with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where in Greendale would you meet for lunch?

I would have lunch with Bob Iger because I am a big Disney fan. We would eat lunch at the Panther Pub.

 

What is your favorite thing or something unique about our Greendale?

I like the history of Greendale and how unique it is in the fact that it is only one of 3 greenbelt communities. I also like how Greendale was designed so you can walk or ride your bike anywhere within the community.

 

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

I see myself moving back to Greendale, and working in the Greendale School District.

 

What show are you binge watching right now?

Station 19

 

Favorite month? Holiday? And best single day on the calendar?

My favorite month is June because it is the start of the warm weather, and my favorite day in June is the 21st because it is ¨the first day of summer” the longest day of the year and it is my birthday!

 

Who inspires you to be better?

The person who inspires me to be better would be my teacher Ms. Amann. She has always been there for me, finds ways to help me out when I need it most, and provides me with guidance and direction.

 

If you could go back over your entire school career what is the one thing you would do different?

Something I would do differently is I would have tried out for the play or musical.

 

Who or what do you miss the most right now?

The thing that I miss the most right now is my daily routine, being in school with friends, and playing tennis.

 

What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?

When quarantine is over, I want to go and play tennis with friends.
