Rosemary Gosseck-McNeal

Rosemary, please tell us about your current plans after high school. What inspired you to choose this path?

I am going to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire to pursue a career in Education. I hope to teach high school English. I was inspired to do this after taking AP Lang, tutoring a student from Iran in math, and being a TA for an ESL teacher in a freshman English class.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.

My twin sister and I are both graduating from Greendale High School much like our mother.

What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in Greendale?

Ferch’s and Ricardo’s

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

I would go to Hawaii because I’ve always wanted to go there and I feel like it has everything I could possibly want from a vacation; hiking, surfing, adventure, and amazing views.

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

One of my all time favorite movies is Holes.

What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

LANY

If you could choose anyone that is alive today, and not a relative: with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where in Greendale would you meet for lunch?

I would love to have lunch with Morgan Freeman because I feel like he has so many great stories to tell and because he is one of my favorite actors.

What is your favorite thing or something unique about Greendale?

I love the sense of community and the way everyone comes together.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

I see myself teaching in a big city and spending my weekends and free time traveling.

What show are you binge watching right now?

I just finished Outer Banks on Netflix.

Favorite month? Holiday? And best single day on the calendar?

My favorite holiday is Christmas because it’s a time when all of my family comes together.

If you could go back over your entire school career what is the one thing you would do different?

I would’ve focused on doing the things I was passionate in and not tried to get involved in everything. I wish I would’ve pursued more leadership opportunities in clubs.

Who or what do you miss the most right now?

I miss my track teammates and our season. This was supposed to be our best and last one together.

What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?

I can’t wait to travel again, so probably plan a final trip with my friends before we all split up for college.
