Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?

Guillermo: Working in a multinational corporation introduced me to strategic planning perspectives. In the early 2000’s, I changed my career to a more strategic approach. I pursued a Masters and a PhD and at some point in Puerto Rico, we decided to enhance our careers looking for better positions and with more responsibility here in the US. That ultimately led us to Greendale.

Glendaly: In my case, I love what I do. My passion for the beauty industry and educating others lead me to the position that I have been in for the past 4 years.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Greendale, and what do you love there?

Guillermo: I love The Steakout for the flavor of the meat they serve. One of the best I ever tasted recently.

Glendaly: I like the Steakout, too. I also enjoy the food trucks at the village festivals.

Q: How long have you lived in Greendale?

Guillermo: It has been almost 7 months. I arrived a month after Glendaly.

Glendaly: 8 months.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Greendale?

Guillermo & Glendaly: We don’t know too many people yet. Just our neighbors so far.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?

Guillermo: I would love to visit Machu Picchu in Peru. It would be an interesting trip for sure since I love the outdoors and camping and they have a tour where you can walk up to the mountains.

Glendaly: I would love to go to Mykonos in Greece. It’s so beautiful and I love it.

Q: What is your favorite movie OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?

Guillermo: Gladiator. It was a very interesting movie. The sounds and effects are fantastic.

Glendaly: My all-time favorite movie is Dirty Dancing. It was so remarkable for me because, when I was in high school, I was able to learn the finale dance. And because of that, I participated in different talent shows and won twice.

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?

Guillermo: I’ve learned that it is not all about how smart you are but how you approach things systematically.

Glendaly: Pursue your dreams or what you really want to do in life and work for it.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

Guillermo: I would love to be able to retire somewhere in Madrid to enjoy life and have some fun. Peru trip is also something I am looking forward to.

Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative with whom would you love to have lunch? Why and where would you have lunch?

Guillermo: I would love to have lunch with Barack Obama. He’s a very charismatic, intelligent and inspiring guy. We will go to The Steakout since it will be a long conversation.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Greendale?

Guillermo & Glendaly: Everything is near and everything you need is here. It is strategically located close to schools, malls, hospitals and restaurants. And it is a great place where you can enjoy outdoors.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?

Guillermo: I would love to be in charge of a bigger department in cancer research. And I would love to develop in my career or role helping to save lives. I think I have great opportunities in the Medical College of Wisconsin. This 5 to 10 years will be an important time to raise our kids and pursue opportunities in what we are doing right now.

Glendaly: I want to develop in the beauty industry that I love. And to be in my dream home. I also want to be there for my children, especially in difficult times of their life.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

Guillermo: I am not a traditional thinker when it comes to faith.

Glendaly: I’m an open book. What you see is what you get.

Guillermo: Happy, Stability and Security.

Glendaly: Family, Love and Comprehension/Support.

Q: If you were cast into a major motion picture and had your choice of anyone to be your co-star, who would you choose?

Glendaly: A Chef. I love to eat and I would love somebody to cook for us.
