Adriana, please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path?

I plan to go to Concordia University for four years to major in nursing and minor in Spanish. I’ve always wanted to work in a job where I can help others and my mom used to work in the medical field which kind of influenced me to want to be working in the medical field.

 

Please tell us a little bit about your family.

My dad is from the US while my mom is from Spain. I’m close to my mom’s side who all lives in Spain. My dad’s side is spread out around the US.

 

What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in Greendale?

Chick-fil-A, Applebee’s, Ferch’s, Olive Garden

 

Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in Greendale?

Out of all teachers I had, my second semester AAT teacher was the most interesting. He was always telling jokes and I could never tell if he was making a joke or if he was serious. He was mean but funny. He was definitely not like most teachers.

 

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

I would want to go to either Italy and or Hawaii, both because they have gorgeous views but I’d also like to experience their cultures.

 

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

Some of my favorite shows are Gossip girl, the Vampire Diaries, and New Girl. Some of my favorite movies are Singing in the Rain, Mama Mia, and The Notebook.

 

What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?

There are many great pieces of advice I’ve gotten from teachers but my PBS teacher, my sophomore year, was always encouraging and had the best advice whether it was school related or not. She was always checking in on her students when they look like they have had a rough day.

 

What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

Mama Mia soundtrack

 

If you could choose anyone that is alive today, and not a relative: with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where in Greendale would you meet for lunch?

I would love to have lunch with my best friend because we can talk for hours about the random things and always have something to laugh about. We would meet at the coffee shop in the village.

 

What is your favorite thing or something unique about our Greendale?

I love the Village Days parade.

 

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

I see myself getting out of college, starting my job as a nurse, traveling around the world, and getting a house.

 

What show are you binge watching right now?

I’ve finished about three shows within the past days and I’m currently re-watching the Vampire Diaries.

 

Favorite month? Holiday? And best single day on the calendar?

My favorite holiday would be Christmas for sure, which is also my favorite day of the year. My favorite month surprisingly is also December because of the Christmas spirit that just brings joy and fun things to do.

 

Who inspires you to be better?

My friends always push me to be my best as well as my teachers and family.

 

If you could go back over your entire school career what is the one thing you would do different?

If there was one thing I’d change, I wish I would have joined more clubs in school my freshman year.

 

Who or what do you miss the most right now?

I miss being able to go to places with my friends and going to new food/coffee places.

 

What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?

Go on a road trip with my friends.
